This vote followed shortly after Osceola County approved significant increases to their mobility fees on September 9, 2024. After much debate, the City Council ultimately chose to lower the total fee increase by 15% from the original proposal, but the change will still significantly increase development costs for projects in St. Cloud.

Impact fees are a one-time charge assessed by the local government on new development and increases in costs of such fees can dramatically impact a development's underwriting and feasibility.
