For Tiffany Hamlin, the fitness industry was the family business. Both of her parents worked for AFAA, a fitness certification company, and so their dinner table conversation was fitness and all things fitness education. Her mom was also a group exercise instructor and a director of group exercise for several gyms in her hometown, so Hamlin spent her childhood growing up in the gym environment. Around 10 years old she started taking her mother’s group fitness classes.
