    SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - The WLOX First Alert Weather has an Alert Day continuing into Wednesday morning due to the threat of flooding. HOW MUCH RAIN HAS HAPPENED SO FARA round of downpours and thunderstorms moved into South Mississippi on Tuesday night. Some of these produced very heavy rain amounts. Rain totals for most of South MS have been in the 2 to 4 inch range, according to radar estimates as of about 7AM Wednesday. Some spots have seen heavier totals in the 4 to 8 inch range.

Some of these storms may produce heavy rain, which could lead to flooding. The WLOX First Alert Weather has issued an Alert Day for Tuesday night and Wednesday morning due to the threat of flooding and strong storms. TIMINGGenerally, it looks like our first round of showers and storms will be at some point on Tuesday.

    SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - We are ending the weekend with some fantastic weather, and Monday will be another gorgeous day! However, multiple rounds of showers and storms are expected by the middle of the week. Some of these storms may produce heavy rain, which could lead to flooding. The WLOX First Alert Weather team is keeping an eye on the potential for strong storms and flooding. TIMINGGenerally, it looks like our first round of showers and storms will be Tuesday afternoon and evening.

    It turned out to be a soggy Saturday for many of us! A few isolated showers may linger this evening, but most of the rain will move out by midnight. A cold front will usher in cooler, drier air overnight tonight. Temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 50s by early Sunday morning. Sunday will be gorgeous with lots of sunshine, low humidity, and high temperatures near 80. We’ll cool down into the low to mid 50s overnight Sunday into Monday morning.

    We’ve had high temperatures ranging from the mid 80s to the low 90s today! The evening will remain warm and humid, but we’ll gradually cool down into the mid to upper 60s by Sunday morning. Any rain this evening will diminish overnight. A little patchy fog will be possible. Sunday will be another warm, humid day with highs in the mid to upper 80s. A few hit or miss showers and storms may pop-up in the afternoon, but most of the day will be dry. Rain chances look very low on Monday and Tuesday.
