    MACON, Ga. (WCTV) - Brookwood boys soccer lost 5-1 to Westminster in the GIAA 3A state title game on Wednesday night. The Warriors were in search of their first-ever championship in their second-ever finals appearance. They entered the game on a 12 game win streak. Westminster took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute and didn’t look back from there. The Wildcats scored three goals before Brookwood was able find the back of the net at the end of the first half.

After losing their season opener this season, the Warriors have won 12-straight games to get to this point. “Going into that first game, I think [we were] a bit overconfident.
