VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - Two people died early Saturday and one person is in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash in Valdosta, according to Valdosta Police. The accident happened just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police announced on social media Monday afternoon. Someone called dispatch to report that as he was driving in the 1400 block of Old Clyattville Road, he saw a vehicle hit a tree and was on fire, according to police.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Saturday’s “No Kings” protest at the old Florida State Capitol Museum proved to be mostly peaceful and didn’t disrupt traffic flow, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. However, one counterprotester was taken into custody by a Capitol Police officer after an exchange with a protester, according to a spokesperson with FDLE. Court records identified the counterprotester as Daniel Hernandez.
