GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – The Grady County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident following reports of shots fired at a school bus stop early Tuesday morning. According to the GCSO, the shots were fired near 492 Old Egg Road in Cairo. Students were present at the time of the incident. Officials have confirmed that no children were injured. The GCSO is urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Bond was denied Tuesday morning for the 20-year-old Florida State University student accused of opening fire on campus nearly a month ago. Phoenix Ikner is facing multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder and seven counts of attempted murder, according to court records and a press release shared Monday afternoon by the Tallahassee Police Department.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A Tallahassee man will spend more than two years in federal prison related to mail theft and check fraud cases in the Big Bend. Romeo Wilson, 20, was sentenced after pleading guilty to more than 20 federal charges last August, including bank fraud, mail theft and possessing a U.S. Postal Service (USPS) arrow key, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

(WCTV) - One year ago, a massive pine tree crashed through the roof of Eli Sittig’s home as tornadoes tore through Tallahassee. “Everything turned dark, really dark,” he said. “The house started to move, and you could feel the pressure change when we were inside of it.”The May 10 tornadoes twisted and toppled trees all along Cactus Street, making the neighborhood look more like a war zone as crews and homeowners tried to clean up.
