NORWOOD, Ohio — The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) has been called in to investigate the death of a man who was en route to the hospital after an altercation with Norwood police. Norwood Police Chief Dwayne Sumner said officers responded to a report of a loose dog in the 4400 block of Montgomery Road at around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. Sumner said the call was also linked to a man and woman "exhibiting erratic behavior" near Ohio Media School.

OXFORD, Ohio — One man is in custody after a SWAT standoff in Oxford Tuesday night. The Oxford Police Department said officers responded to an apartment on W. High Street at around 5:30 p.m. after a woman reported that her ex-boyfriend was trespassing and entered her apartment without her knowledge. Police said officers tried to enter the apartment, but the man had barricaded himself inside and refused to negotiate with officers at the door.

WILMINGTON, Ohio — One woman is dead and one man is in custody after a shooting in Clinton County Tuesday night. The Wilmington Police Department said officers responded to the 1100 block of Brownberry Drive for a reported shooting. When they arrived, officers found a woman dead inside a home. A man at the scene was taken into custody. Police did not release the names of the victim or suspect and have not relayed any charges at this time.

FALMOUTH, Ky. — On the same day the City of Falmouth appointed a new mayor, one former mayor was arrested for trespassing on city property. Falmouth City Council appointed Sabrina Hazen Monday to serve the rest of former mayor Luke Price's term after Price announced his resignation earlier this month. Price was elected in November after running unopposed.

BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — An eighth grader at West Clermont Middle School was arrested after the sheriff's office said they threatened to "shoot up the school" on Snapchat. The Clermont County Sheriff's Office said the school's administrators were notified of a student's threat at around 3 p.m. Thursday. The administrators contacted the school resource officer (SRO), who noted the student was already on their way home when the threat was reported.
