We’re thrilled to announce that Alexa Mills has been promoted to assistant editor. Alexa has worked since 2021 as a senior editor helping us found and build The New York Times Editing Residency. Her new role reflects how much our two-year editor training program has grown. It receives hundreds of applications every year, which she helps filter with the help of the Standards, Flexible Editing and early careers teams.
