    For the past few years, the folks at Log Haven restaurant in Millcreek Canyon have partnered with Longoria Wines in Santa Barbara County, California to create a distinct red wine blend that is sold exclusively at the restaurant. This year’s signature Log Haven wine is called Dog Lake, named for the iconic hiking destination at the top of Millcreek Canyon. Log Haven says, “This is the 7th Log Haven Exclusive Wine made by Longoria Wines and marks a departure from our previous blends.

    A couple of weeks ago my wife, Faith, and I made a quick escape to Denver, ostensibly to catch the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Wild God Tour show at The Mile High City’s Mission Ballroom. The show itself was a transcendent experience. No surprise there. If Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds ever come to your town, don’t miss them. What was surprising was discovering something very fishy in landlocked Denver, where we had two divine dinners focused on seafood, plus other good eats.

Good lord, @rayadverb - I’m sitting on my patio bawling and hoping the neighbors don’t see me, having just read the last chapter (post-epilogue) of Lessons From Lucy. Okay to shed a few tears though in gratitude for all the belly laughs over the years.
