    ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Warm air is building northward today ahead of a cold front approaching from the northern Plains. After a chilly morning, sunny skies and a slight south breeze will help temperatures climb quickly to the low 80s in the afternoon. A brief shower or stray thunderstorm will be possible right around sunset this evening along the arriving cold front. Skies will quickly clear off later in the evening with overnight low temperatures in the low 50s and light north winds.

    ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Cool air continues to linger in the region today under strong Canadian high pressure. We have a sunny and seasonably mild day in store as temperatures will be the closest to the seasonal average for the entire week. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s, with a light easterly breeze. After a clear and chilly night with low temperatures in the low and mid-40s, warmer air will begin to build northward on Friday.

Expect occasional sunshine and cloud cover throughout the day with high temperatures in the low 70s, and a cool northeast breeze that will reach 20 miles per hour in the afternoon. Temperature will drop to the low 40s later tonight under a mainly clear sky as high pressure settles into the Upper Mississippi Valley.

    ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – After a relatively wet April, our weather pattern has shifted, and now we’re enjoying an amazing spell of sunny and dry weather. Temperatures in this new pattern are incredibly mild, several degrees warmer than the seasonal average in most cases. A little more than a week ago, we secured a surplus in the rain gauge for the first time this year. At one point, we were around an inch above normal for the month and the year.
