The Minnesota Vikings have played in ten NFC Championship games and four Super Bowls since the NFL/AFL merger in 1970. Yet, they’ve lifted the Lombardi Trophy a total of zero times in those 56 seasons. The Vikings’ last big game appearance came during the 1976 NFL season. That means NFL fans who are 49 and younger have never witnessed the Vikings play in a Super Bowl. We’ve still had our fair share of success, however.

Major League Baseball has seen its fair share of terrible umpiring this year. Thankfully, we have the challenge system on the basepaths, and next year we should see the institution of the ABS challenge system, which should mostly fix the issues surrounding the strike zone. Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli is not yet at the level of Ron Gardenhire when it comes to ejections (84), but he’s not afraid of a home plate dust-up with umpires, getting tossed in 19 games during his seven year tenure.

Legal ramifications must still play out, but the NFL will be forced to act at some point as well. It’s beyond plausible that Addison will be suspended for multiple games at some point this season.

The focus for Rocco Baldelli and Minnesota Twins players this season has been their performance on the field. And let’s be honest, they have their hands full recently, as losers in nine of their last eleven games. Meanwhile, at the ownership level, the cloud of an ever-impending sale continues to hang over the organization.

The Minnesota Vikings picked up Daniel Jones last season after he was sent packing by the New York Giants. That was a logical and defensible move as he immediately provided a high-upside backup option. It would have been great to keep him for another year, but he apparently knew better. Daniel Jones didn’t have a good situation in New York. With the Minnesota Vikings, he could have thrived to a level never previously seen in his career.
