Retired doctor Dr David Robinson said he pays a 300% council tax premium on his wooden chalet in Burton, Pembrokeshire, even though it would be unsuitable as a permanent home for local people. The number of second homes for sale in the Welsh county has trebled since council tax increased by 200%.
