Last Sunday, the world celebrated Father’s Day. The role fathers play in the family, especially in matters relating to the security and safety of the household, cannot be overemphasised. That is the major responsibility of genuine, self-respecting fathers, not deadbeat ones who shirk their God-given responsibilities at the slightest opportunity. Fathers are often the first to jump into action when anything poses a threat or when someone in the family gets hurt.

There is no doubt that Peter Gregory Obi is the ‘star boy’ of politics in present-day Nigeria. The appellation was formerly given to the immediate past Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN). Let’s not mince words about it. The major obstacle militating against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from performing its role as Nigeria’s major opposition party is lack of discipline. By Temidayo AkinsuyiIt was my wife @ashabiidazzle who first forwarded the viral video of veteran Nollywood actress Margaret Olatunde, popularly known as Jumoke George, to me about a fortnight ago about the interview she granted to fellow actress Abiola Adebayo. As someone who greatly detests seeing women, especially mothers, cry, I couldn’t summon the emotional muscle to watch the video. Luckily for me, many media houses made news from the video, which I then read.
