Another storm system could hit New Jersey later this week with an icy mix, rain and thunderstorms, according to AccuWeather.AccuWeather.com The state Department of Transportation has lifted all speed limit and right-lane-only commercial vehicle restrictions on major roads in southcentral Pennsylvania region. Sunday in the Harrisburg area is expected to bring sunshine and a high of 40 degrees, ushering a few days of calm before the next chance of snow in the middle of the week.

Anticipating a snowstorm that is expected to move into central Pennsylvania Sunday night into Monday, PennDOT has announced some vehicle restrictions on the state’s highways beginning Sunday evening. Both the state Department of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Turnpike are urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel during the storm and to exercise caution when driving.
Fatal crash closes southbound I-81 in Cumberland County

A fatal crash has closed a portion of southbound Interstate 81. A multi-vehicle rollover crash has resulted in the closure of southbound I-81 between the Marysville/Enola exit 65 and exit 61 at Wertzville Road, according to a PennDOT spokesperson. The crash occurred at mile marker 62.5, the spokesperson said. One vehicle is on fire, and one fatality was confirmed, according to PennDOT. The road is expected to reopen at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to PennDOT.
