While sales rose last month, they fell 1.2 percent compared with February last year. Home prices have increased on an annual basis for the 20th consecutive month.     COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – A Beulah woman has died after being attacked by her neighbor’s dogs. Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones say it happened  around 5 p.m CT on Monday, February 24. Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton says Patricia Burt, 78, was pronounced dead at 10:21 a.m. CT on February 25, 2025, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown. Jones say the deadly attack occurred on Lee Road 356. He tod WRBL Burt walked over to visit her neighbor and say hello.

    COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Members of the 24th Street Missionary Baptist church looked on Columbus Fire and EMS crews worked to control the fire that fire officials say was set outside the church. On the night of November 1, Columbus Fire and EMS arrived at the scene of a fire at 24th Street Missionary Baptist Church. Chief Fire Marshall John Shull confirmed with WRBL there is an ongoing arson investigation. For 102 years, worshippers have called the historic church home.

    COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The superintendent of Columbus Transitional Center is moving up the ladder in the Georgia Department of Corrections. Gloria Turnage has been promoted to Special Assistant to the Warden at Pulaski State Prison in Hawkinsville, Georgia – about 21 miles from Perry. The 1985 Kendrick High School graduate will assist the Warden at Pulaski State Prison with daily operations. Turnage tells WRBL it will be different from what she’s been doing for nearly the past two decades.
