If you find yourself in Tunica wondering where to grab a bite, you’ll likely end up in one of the casinos in the immediate area. If you’re playing poker, then you’re at Horseshoe Tunica, the only casino that currently offers poker in the area. Horseshoe Tunica is right next to Gold Strike Casino, so if you’re looking for someplace near the poker tables to grab food, those are the best options. Inside Horseshoe Tunica, I recommend Jack Binion’s Steak for a nice dinner at a steakhouse.

Tom Dwan is the latest pro to weigh in on late registration issues at the WSOP after getting his stack voided in event #66, the $10K PLO. Dwan turned to X to find out what time he could max late reg for the tournament. He got the answer (he got several, to be fair, and not all of them entirely accurate) but turned up at the media room close to the deadline looking for where to register. By the time he registered and got back to the Horseshoe, he was past the hard stop and his entry was voided.

WSOP: Dong Meng wins the Tournament of Champions ($200,000)

Dong Meng is officially the champion of champions in this first World Series of Poker bracelet event of the season. Meng emerged victorious after five days of battling against the field of 559 entrants in this Tournament of Champions at The Commerce Casino and Hotel. Meng won his seat into this $1 million freeroll by winning the $1,000 Flip 'n Go bracelet event this past summer for $160,469. Now, he's parlayed that into an even bigger score of $200,000 today.
WSOP Circuit: Jessica Vierling wins Commerce Main Event ($328,273)

It's been an incredible week for women in poker. Jessica Vierling just capped it off by winning one of the biggest WSOP Circuit Main Events in history for $328,273 at The Commerce Casino and Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Vierling came into the final day of action second in chips, but nothing could stand between her and the final Circuit Main Event title of the season.
