Seven horses, a goat and a pig were rescued from a bad situation in Corinth. The owner was charged with nine counts of animal cruelty. NewsChannel 13 was able to meet Jazzaphone at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Saratoga Springs. He’s a registered thoroughbred that never had the chance to race. Jazzaphone is recovering from a necessary surgery days after being seized from a Corinth home on Monday, March 31. Nine animals were taken. Deputy Nikki Voegler helped save Jazzaphone’s life.

Police were in full gear carrying long guns into a home they were searching. The search warrant was for a home on Central Ave in between Lexington Ave and Henry Johnson Blvd. Police say the warrant was for a criminal investigation, but no other details were released. Officers had the road blocked for roughly two hours. Police were seen in head to toe including long guns as they entered the home with investigators. Traffic was redirected as APD was on scene.
