Study question Is prenatal famine exposure associated with overall and cause-specific adult mortality up to age 76 in both men and women? What is already known We have previously shown that exposure to famine in early gestation was associated with poorer adult health and, in women, with reduced survival up to age 64. What this study adds The association between prenatal famine exposure and mortality up to age 76 has not been previously studied.
