There are more active residential real estate listings in Sacramento than at any point in the last several years, which means prices could start decreasing, experts say. In April, there were 1,992 active listings in Sacramento County and West Sacramento, up by nearly 700, or 64% from the previous April, according to data form the Sacramento Association of Realtors. Despite that, the number of home sales in that area barely moved, going from 962 closed sales to 967.

Two men were injured in a shooting Sunday afternoon along Broadway in Sacramento. Just after 12:30 p.m., police responded to a call about a shooting in the 2800 block of Broadway, according to police spokesperson Allison Smith. Officers located a victim with at least one gunshot wound, and he was transported to a hospital, Smith said. A second man with at least one gunshot wound also self transported to the hospital in connection with the same incident, Smith said.

A man died in an apparent hit-and-run crash in downtown Sacramento early Sunday morning. Just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 500 block of J Street for a report of a male adult who was down in the roadway, according to police spokesperson Allison Smith. Fire personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene, Smith said. Police believe he was struck by a vehicle, which fled the scene prior to police arrival. The coroner’s office has not yet identified the man.
