Holland America Line plans to grow its presence in northern Europe in 2027 by sending a third dedicated ship to the region. Guests will be able to visit destinations in Scandinavia, Greenland, the Baltics and the British Isles while sailing onboard Zuiderdam, Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam. The line’s northern Europe season runs from April through December, with itineraries ranging from seven to 21 days.

Bookings are now open for Star Clippers’ fall and winter 2026-27 season. The cruise line is offering more than 50 departures from October through late March, with its fleet of three tall clipper ships taking travelers to destinations in the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia. Transatlantic crossings and holiday sailings are also available. In October 2026, Royal Clipper will depart Lisbon and sail west across the Atlantic to Bridgetown in 16 days.

The Adventure Travel Network Mexico (ATMEX) Conference is a travel trade event that promotes adventure, nature and sustainable travel in Mexico and Latin America. There are keynotes, presentations, and six hours of marketplace appointments over two days. Before the conference starts there are also hosted FAMs, usually in the host state (there were six at the recent event in Oaxaca City), and a local day of adventure.

As I stood under the shade of a tin roof supported by bright yellow-and-red beams adorned with pennant streamers — also yellow and red — I watched as six Guna women and four men formed facing lines on the sandy floor. Slight of build, the barefoot females each wore traditional dress: a brightly patterned wrap skirt and a blouse adorned with handcrafted, reverse-applique cotton panels called molas. Guna women are renowned for these handmade textiles; each design is unique and tells a story.
