Suffice it to say there will be no shortage of visitors to Normandy this summer … what with an 80th year anniversary D-Day celebration the likes of which the region had probably not seen for at least five years what with the COVID travel interruption and its aftermath. On a recent first time visit to this multi-faceted destination in the north of France, our tour guide informed us that Normandy was the number #1 destination for US visitors, obviously due to the site of the D-Day beaches.
