Interventional cardiology is a demanding subspeciality, both while training and throughout consultant life. Specifically, long working hours, regular out-of-hours commitments and high risk, technically challenging procedures result in a stressful working environment. Concurrently, there is an appropriate expectation that interventional cardiologists should act with civility and courteousness.
