Amazon is leaving the city for an "improved" facility in Cardiff - and some workers aren't happy about itAmazon has confirmed it will be closing its depot in Newport and relocating all staff. The online retail giant will be shutting its delivery station in the city and moving to a new location in Cardiff later this year. Amazon opened the site based in Newport's Celtic Business Park in November 2016.

Luis Piovesana, 26 (Image: Avon and Somerset Police) A large search operation is underway to help find a man last seen in Bristol in the early hours of Friday February 28 - and his family believe he could have travelled to Wales. Luis Piovesana, 26, was captured on CCTV walking around Eastgate Retail Park in Bristol at around 3am, but has not been seen since. Avon and Somerset Police said they are "growing increasingly concerned" for his safety.

The plans state that the restaurant would be situated on land which forms part of the Newhouse Farm Industrial Estate, just off the M48. They claim it will be create up to 120 new jobs with a range of full and part-time positions available to local people.

14 1/1 A NEWPORT rugby club, Newport High School Old Boys (NHSOB), has been left in ruins after the Afon Lwyd flooded their pitches and clubhouse during Storm Bert. NHSOB's clubhouse has been destroyed, along with their expensive equipment, such as their tackle pads, flood lights and all of the furniture. "We are just devastated," said Rhian Short, 22, Head Coach of the women's team. "I can not put into words how it feels for this to be happening to us again.
