The U.S. men's national soccer team will try and stay unbeaten in the 2025 Gold Cup when it faces Saudi Arabia in a group match Thursday at Q2 Stadium in Austin. The U.S. beat Trinidad and Tobago 5-0 in its first Gold Cup match Sunday while Saudi Arabia topped Haiti 1-0. With both teams tied atop Group D with three points, a win by either squad would all but guarantee a spot in the knockout round.

Texas basketball caught a bit of a break with Wednesday’s release of the SEC men’s basketball schedule. The Longhorns and first-year coach Sean Miller will face Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas A&M twice in SEC play in the 2025-26 season. Oklahoma and Texas A&M are the two permanent opponents for Texas, which means they will play the Longhorns in a home-and-away game each season. The SEC will rotate a third home-and-away opponent for each school every year.
