NESQUEHONING, Penn. – Furniture and lighting resource Elk Home is liquidating its entire inventory according to a letter sent to customers Tuesday. The company said it has partnered with liquidation specialist GA Group to handle the entire liquidation process. “This initiative presents a unique opportunity for our valued customers to acquire our products at significantly reduced, below-market prices before beginning planned inventory auctions,” company CEO Todd Webb said in the letter to customers.

WASHINGTON — Year-over-year existing home sales in May declined .7%  from May 2024, according to data released Monday by the National Association of Realtors. This marked their smallest year-over-year decline of the year, thus far, compared with a 1.2% decline in February 2024, a 2.4% decline in March and a 2% decline in April. They also increased .8% from April to a seasonally adjusted rate of 4.03 million, rising in the Northeast, Midwest and South, but declining in the West.

HIGH POINT More tariff related price increases are on the way, according to correspondence Home News Now has received from industry resources. Luxury furniture producers Christopher Guy and Jonathan Charles announced the increases via recent individual letters sent to dealers. Christopher Guy, which manufacturers its line at its production facilities in Indonesia, said in its letter that it plans to implement a 10% tariff surcharge to all new orders starting July 1.
