PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One man is dead, and another is in custody following a deadly shooting in south Phoenix. Around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Phoenix police were called to an area near 24th Street and Baseline Road after witnesses reported that a man pushing a shopping cart had been shot. The suspect ran from the scene before officers arrived. First responders found the victim, since identified as 38-year-old Orlando Archuletta, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

However, as the weather heats up, so do things we use every day, and medical experts at the Arizona Burn Center are warning residents to be careful of hot surfaces. The Arizona Burn Center treated 152 severe burns last year, up from 136 cases in 2023.
