DALLAS - Thirteen days and 13 periods after it began, Mikko Rantanen's record-busting scoring streak came to an end Sunday afternoon. But whether you were among the 18,532 at American Airlines Center on Sunday afternoon or just enjoying the show at home, it would be hard to even think that was what you just witnessed when the Stars disposed of the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 in Game 3 of this second-round series.

DALLAS - So perhaps I was mistaken about life after Mikko. Seemed like the Stars had shown plenty of positive signs of being able to produce on their own, once he stopped delivering nightly hat tricks or four-point games. Instead, the entire squad was blanked in Winnipeg Friday night, making this a very compelling 1-1 series that continues with a 3:30 puck drop on Sunday at the AAC. Dallas remains in prime position to keep advancing in this marathon affair called the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The team that worries about role players is the team going nowhere. What does AD cost next year? And for how many games?

@Jaredwasagoalie @TimCowlishaw Keeping Luka next season would’ve cost the super max of $70M a season. That’s $27M u have to slash from the current team & give it all to Luka. Who you cutting? Gafford + Knife or PJ? GTFO of here with that. The team’s better moving forward bc Luka’s defense needs tons of help

Former mayor comes flying in off the top rope: The Luka trade is going to hurt Dallas for a long time https://t.co/hk4qxqHO3o

I don’t have control over “ever” but ATH final show is May 23. Hope to see you there…

@TimCowlishaw I guess you’re telling me there’s ATH coming back ever??? Loved the book by the way. Big fan here from the UK
