MILFORD – Has there ever been a more anticipated match in the state the first week of June? With a police presence inside and outside the gym? Where the final outcome is overshadowed by a life-altering event? All for a Sweet 16 boys volleyball match. On Tuesday evening, in a hot and packed gym, the signs and the white T-shirts told the story. “Free Marcelo” was magic-markered everywhere. An “I miss my best friend” sign adorned the sideline.
