    Lincoln Southwest was in scramble mode. An injury to Kayden Leonard left the Silver Hawks’ state-leading 400 relay team without their third leg runner the night before the state final. So when LSW got back to Lincoln on Wednesday night after the first day of state track, it went to work. First, a phone call to freshman sprinter Thatcher Shelton. Then, some work on Southwest’s home track to smooth things out as much as possible. Then came Thursday. And a gold medal.
