Cumberland Valley’s tear through the District 3 Class 3A boys volleyball tournament continued Tuesday night with a sweep of No. 13 Northeastern in a semifinal match at the Eagle Dome. With set scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-19, the top-seeded Eagles (17-0) kept their season-long set and match unbeaten streaks alive heading into the championship match scheduled for1 p.m. Saturday at Cumberland Valley against Central York, a 3-1 winner over Governor Mifflin in Tuesday’s other semifinal.

Freshman Owen Morret socred three goals and added an assist, senior goalie Brad Brown made 11 saves, and Trinity defeated Lampeter-Strasburg 7-4 Tuesday night for District 3 Class 2A boys lacrosse gold Tuesday night at COBO Field. The win gave the top-seeded Shamrocks (21-1) their second consecutive District 3 crown and the program’s fourth overall. They became the first team to win back-to-back district titles in Class 2A since the district expanded to two classes in 2017.
