On Friday night, it will be the location of a vigil to remember the victims of yesterday’s on-campus shooting that left two people dead and another six injured.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The iconic Unconquered Statue of Chief Osceola that sits outside Doak Campbell Stadium is usually a place where folks gather before and after football games. Authorities identified the shooter as 20-year-old Phoenix Ikner, a student at FSU and the son of a Leon County Sheriff’s Office deputy. A memorial has been started on the Florida State University campus for all of those involved.
