It’s hard to believe it’s been almost five years since The Last of Us Part II launched. Though it’s one of my all-time favourite games, I haven’t revisited it since rolling credits a few short days after the launch. And while I’ve had inklings to come back, I opted to hold out for the game’s eventual launch on PC. That wait, I’m happy to report, has been worth it.

WWE 2K25 is exceptionally good. Visual Concepts has done a fantastic job building on the excellent base of earlier entries to bring an unrivalled amount of content for the budding wrestling fan this year. Whether it’s the return of chain wrestling, the best Showcase mode to date or the excellent additions to the ever-addicting MyGM and Universe modes, 2K25 is simply phenomenal. It may come as no surprise to say this year’s gameplay feels similar to 2K24.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a narrative adventure game, developed by Don’t Nod - a studio experienced in this genre. We're talking about a team that has such productions in their portfolio as Life is Strange, Tell Me Why, Twin Mirror or Harmony: The Fall of Reverie. The game was divided into two episodes - Bloom and Rage. Lost Records: Bloom & Rage takes us to the fictional town of Velvet Cove, located in a picturesque corner of the American state of Michigan.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is packed with heart. It’s an intriguing, at times flawed, adventure that explores the difficulties of growing up and fitting in. While it takes its time to get going, and it has its fair share of technical and narrative issues, Tape 1 of the two-part narrative has left me keen for more. The game takes place in two time periods, the summer of 1995 and 2022.

Insomniac’s follow-up to 2018’s Spider-Man was one of my favourite games of 2023. It’s a pure feast for the eyes that’s every bit as compelling as the first, complete with the best gameplay the team’s ever put together. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the game’s PC launch as I’ve been excited for a second run through the story. However, unlike its earlier entries on PC, Spider-Man 2’s port is a mixed bag.

Decisions like this make me question the integrity of VAR and the ref being able to say no to the review. Never a red. Way to ruin a good game 😔

Pat Wood is shown a red card after VAR review 🟥 Harsh. Super, super harsh. #SydneyIsSkyBlue | #BigBlue | ⚫️ 1-1 🔵
