The OAU Concert organised by Markay Entertainment was held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Afrika Amphitheatre. The concert started around 5:30 pm with hypes from the first set of MCs (Dammy Cares and Diamond Godswill) and musical performances from Tolu and Kizz IB amongst the audience. This was also the moment when the audience was urged to follow Facity, one of the sponsors of the event. The OAU concert had in attendance approximately forty OAU artists who performed.

Just like every other campus, OAU is filled with various talents. As a hub of artistic diversity and the citadel of learning, OAU artists have broken into the mainstream musical industry, making spaces for themselves in various genres. Blaqbonez, Asake, Fireboy DML, and Chinko Ekun among others started on campus. Their consistency, hard work, and the inclusive environment the campus offers to artists are factors that contributed significantly to their successes.

The Financial Secretary of the Great Ife Students’ Union presented a breakdown of the funds raised through crowdfunding for the Great Ife Students’ Union Buses. This was disclosed at the congress held on Friday, January 17th, to address the accountability issues for the donations. In the breakdown, the union has raised an amount of ₦174,290. Meanwhile, the targeted number of buses is 25 and the targeted amount to procure 25 buses is one hundred and eighty million naira (₦180,000,000).
