Jo Williams has owned Joco Gifts in Nuneaton for 10 years, however the closure of a nearby car park and increases to National Insurance and minimum wage have led her to an "incredibly difficult decision". She said the decision had been "taken out her her hands" and her accountant had informed her she had "done everything you can".

Doubt has been cast over the future of Nuneaton Borough Football Club after an eviction notice forced a football match to be relocated at the last minute. The team were scheduled to face Bromsgrove Sporting FC at the FCS stadium in Liberty Way on Tuesday but it was moved to Hinckley AFC. The club has previously faced budget difficulties. In 2019, an appeal was made to save the club from debt. Owner Jimmy Ginnelly has been approached for a comment.

Residents close to the school and Charterhouse museum say dealing frequently takes place in the area. Cara Page, head of All Saints Church Of England Primary School, said parents were worried about their children playing outside. West Midlands Police said high visibility patrols would take place to tackle the anti-social behaviour.
