TOM HAWLEY/Monroe NewsThe mayflies were attracted to the lights of the Subway windows at the Sunoco Gas Station in Luna Pier in June 2020. The slender, elongated insects with antennae, two pairs of wings and six legs are attracted to bright lights and are known for their extremely short life spans and emergence in large numbers in the summer months.
