It was inevitable, really. Once Apple unveiled Camera Control for the iPhone 16, the Android world was guaranteed to put their own spin on it sooner or later. Flagships got there first, but Honor is the first to give an affordable phone a customisable camera button. The £250 Honor 400 Lite also – unsurprisingly – makes it all about AI. Press and hold the very Apple-esque side button anywhere within Android and Google Lens will kick in, to identify objects and translate text.

If sunnier skies and warmer weather have encouraged you to blow the dust off your cycling gear, Wahoo’s two new bike computers might be the last bit of encouragement you need to start racking up the miles. The Elemnt Roam 3 and Elemnt Bolt 3 are due to land next month, completing the line-up under the resistance-measuring Elemnt Ace flagship – and Wahoo has a company-first smart bike light in the works too. The Elemnt Roam should fill the bike computer sweet spot for the majority of riders.

Desktop PC gamers get all the fun. Next-gen hardware typically lands there first, and the mobile versions eventually squeezed into their laptop counterparts usually come with a performance penalty. Well, having just seen Nvidia’s RTX 5090 laptop graphics in action on MSI’s newest and best laptops, there’s clearly still enough power on tap to do justice to all of the latest games. So much so, in fact, my not-that-old gaming PC just got thoroughly humbled.

I could practically hear the groans through my computer screen. The YouTube comments went nuclear as soon as the Nintendo Direct voiceover confirmed that no, the Switch 2 wouldn’t be landing with an OLED screen. The hybrid console sequel would instead be returning to LCD. “Kiss those perfect black levels and infinite contrast goodbye, gamers – it’s been fun.”Hear me out, though. While my colleague Dan Grabham argues otherwise, I’d say that OLED isn’t always the answer.

After a January sneak peek, Nintendo has now fully pulled back the curtain on the Switch 2. The hybrid handheld successor will go on sale in June, but goes up for pre-order a lot sooner – and demand is sure to be sky high. Nintendo has put a plan in place that will hopefully limit scalpers and resellers’ ability to hoover up stock. That means if you’re eager to get your hands on one on launch day, there are a few hoops you’ll have to jump through. These vary based on where you are in the world.
