It’s been open for a year now, the new World of Volvo museum that tells the story of Swedish automaker Volvo, which celebrates 100 years in business in 1927, founded here in Gothenburg. The building itself is a fascinating web of massive curved hardwood ribs extending from the floor and supporting a circular roof. Its Scandinavian design shares certain design elements with the cars featured inside.

Two upper trim levels (AT4 and Denali) are arriving now as 2026 models, adding new content beyond what appeared on the all-new 2025 Terrain Elevation. All-wheel drive is standard on AT4 and Denali trims and available on Elevation. But for 2026, the base Terrain Elevation will be front-drive, with a CVT. No matter which trim you choose, the method of propulsion will be the same: a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that moves the new Terrain capably with 175 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque.
