Framatome has been awarded a contract to provide conventional field instrumentation (CFI) and emergency backup power generation capacity to Sizewell C. The company is 80.5% owned by EDF – a French state-owned company, which is the minority owner of Sizewell C. The remaining 19.5% of Framatome is owned by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The UK Government is currently the majority owner of Sizewell C, which has sunk £6.4bn of taxpayer cash into the project.
