BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Pennsylvanians have only a few days left to request a mail-in ballot ahead of the primary election. Registered voters have until 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, to request a mail-in ballot; with no referendum questions on the ballot in Lehigh and Northampton counties, the election is limited exclusively to registered members of the Democratic and Republican parties.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — All three of the Lehigh Valley's state senators voted Tuesday for a bill that would bar transgender girls from competing in school athletics from the college to elementary school levels. The bill, which passed 32-18, would require all teams sponsored by a Pennsylvania public school or that compete against a Pennsylvania public school to designate teams by sex — either boys (or men), girls (or women) or co-ed.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Lehigh Valley Public Media has halted some of its education programming because of President Donald Trump's executive order last week freezing funding to PBS and NPR. The executive order and its fallout have forced LVPM staff to cancel a summer enrichment program that would have been available through Donegan Elementary School in Fountain Hill.

BETHELHEM, Pa. — Pennsylvania voters have a few more hours to file voter registration forms if they wish to participate in the 2025 municipal primary elections. The deadline register for the May 20 primary is the close of business this afternoon. Primary voters will select their party's nominees for local office in the November election, including positions such as mayor, school board director, county executive and township supervisor.

Bernie Sanders railed against President Donald Trump and the moneyed interests that he said have poisoned American politics. In a space where sports fans cheer on for Lehigh University’s athletes, a crowd of about 6,000 screamed their support and stomped their feet for the 83-year-old Vermont independent. Saturday was the progressive icon’s third stop in Pennsylvania since Thursday on his “Fighting Oligarchy” tour.
