ALLENTOWN, Pa. — An Allentown woman was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in state prison for her part in a deadly armed robbery in October 2020 on the Hamilton Street bridge. Latasha Santiago, 36, pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy tocommit robbery, a first-degree felony, in the Oct. 17, 2020, shooting death of Christian Lopez-Rodriguez, 21, of Allentown. Her sentence was the maximum she faced for the charges.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A rising hard-rock band that already has put 10 songs in the Top 40 on the Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart will play at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, it was announced. Dorothy, the Los Angeles band best known for 2022's rock hit "Rest in Peace" and last year's "MUD," will perform at 8 p.m. Sept. 9 in Musikfest Cafe. Opening the show will be rising Nashville rockers Eddie & The Getaway.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — An Allentown employee accused of putting a noose on her own desk is scheduled to be arraigned this month in Lehigh County Court. Charges against LaTarsha Brown, 42, were ordered to proceed to court last week, online records show. Brown was not present in court for the court action Friday, the records show. Brown is due to appear in Courtroom 2D on June 17 for her formal arraignment on misdemeanor charges of making a false report and tampering with evidence.

City Center executives on Monday night presented scaled-back plans to revitalize the former Merchants National Bank at the southwest corner of Seventh and Hamilton streets. Allentown officials in January 2020 approved a proposal to build a 250-foot-tall tower with the old bank at its base.
