Conditions should remain mostly clear into the night, with temperatures dropping to a low of around 44 degrees after sundown.

    CASPER, Wyo. — The City of Casper is selling two properties: one at the corner of West Collins Drive and South Locust Street, and the other located at the northwest corner of Robertson Road and Trevett Lane. The locust Street property is roughly 5,000 square feet and is zoned R-3 for 1-4 unit residential. The Robertson Road property is roughly nine acres, and is zoned for urban agriculture. It was rezoned earlier this year.

    VATICAN CITY — The Catholic Church on Thursday named Robert Prevost as the new pope, making him the first American to hold the papacy. He will be known as Pope Leo XIV. Prevost, a 69-year-old from Chicago, has worked as a missionary in South America and previously served as a bishop in Peru. In the Vatican, he previously held the post responsible overseeing the office that selects and manages bishops the world over. There were 133 cardinals voting, making it the largest conclave ever.

    MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS, Wyo. — A visitor to Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison on Sunday, marking the first case of a person being injured by the species at the park this year. At around 3:15 p.m. on May 4, a 47-year-old Cape Coral, Florida, resident approached a bison in the Lake Village area of the park and was attacked by the animal. He sustained injuries and was treated by emergency personnel.
