BUFFALO, N.Y. — If you were thinking about buying or leasing an electric vehicle, the state is making $30 million available through a rebate program. That money is available to New York residents through the state’s Drive Clean Rebate program, which offers point-of-sale rebates for more than 60 new electric vehicles. The program also provides incentives for chargers for drivers to use at multifamily buildings and workplaces, including hotels.

HAMBURG, N.Y. — A car crashed into a Town of Hamburg home on Sunday evening. The incident happened on Green Meadow Court, near Amsdell Road. There's no cause of the crash at this moment, but 2 On Your Side did speak with the owner of the home. She said she was not in the house at the time, but one of her neighbors called her to alert her to what was happening.
First responders battle a commercial fire in the Town of Wheatfield

WHEATFIELD, N.Y. — Local fire departments are battling a small commercial fire in the Town of Wheatfield. The Niagara County Sheriff's Department dispatch center said it received a call about the fire at 6:01 p.m. Sunday, and that the Bergholz Fire Department rushed to the scene on the 2100 block of Lockport Road. Police said Lockport Road is closed between Walmore and Tuscarora roads while crews work to extinguish the fire. People are advised to avoid the area until further notice.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Not every announcement leading into the NFL Draft has to do with the picks themselves. Sometimes, they involve the people who will be announcing those picks. For example, the NFL recently revealed a list of "legends and active players" who will announce draft picks during the three-day spectacle in Green Bay, Wis. Injury reported following a crash between a semi, pickup truck

BATAVIA, N.Y. — The Genesee County Sheriff's Office responded Saturday morning to a crash that involved a semi and a pickup truck. The crash happened on Route 63 in Batavia, where the sheriff's office said the pickup truck crossed into the oncoming lane and hit the side of the semi. The driver of the semi wasn't hurt. The person driving the pickup truck — who might have had a medical issue — was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. That person's condition is not known at this time.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The captain of the Buffalo Sabres, Rasmus Dahlin, on Saturday morning paid a visit to GiGi's Playhouse in Buffalo. His nonprofit organization, the Rasmus Dahlin Foundation, is dedicated to improving the lives of children. During his visit, a $10,000 donation was made to GiGi's Playhouse to support its mission. BUFFALO, N.Y. — Power outages are being reported across Western New York, with is starting Easter weekend with showers, thunderstorms, and a Dense Fog Advisory. NYSEG, as of 3:20 p.m. Saturday on its website, reported 21 outages impacting over 5,200 customers, mostly in southern Erie County. National Grid, as of 3:20 p.m. Saturday on its website, reported 19 outages impacting over 1,300 customers, most of whom are in and around Batavia.
