WATERBURY – Sometimes even the smallest donations can carry a lot of clout when they are made from the heart with the best of intentions. Sandra Britton, a retired phone operator from Waterbury, has been a contributor to the Greater Waterbury Campership Fund “plenty of times,” she said, and last week ponied up another $25 for the cause.

WATERBURY – An unusual but spirited organization that plies the waters of the Connecticut River has stepped up to assist the Greater Waterbury Campership Fund during its current campaign. The Connecticut River Raft Race, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, was happy to help out the Campership Fund that is calling attention to its own 55th year of making sure Greater Waterbury youth experience the benefits of summer camp.

WATERBURY – With the holiday season approaching, now is a proper time to be thankful for the many blessings that take place in the community that quietly benefit the welfare of many.
