WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Waco man who was found incompetent last year to stand trial in the gruesome stabbing deaths of his mother and stepfather in March 2023 will spend at least another two months in a state psychiatric hospital, a judge ruled Wednesday. Judge Susan Kelly made the ruling after an uncontested hearing involving Matias Maltos Saucedo in Waco’s 54th State District Court.

WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Waco man with a long history of mental health issues who was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the 2016 stabbing and beating death of an AT&T line worker was recommitted to a state mental hospital Tuesday. Judge Susan Kelly of Waco’s 54th State District Court ordered Zachary Lamone McKee to remain at Austin State Hospital for at least another 12 months, when his indefinite commitment order will be reviewed again.

Brandon Stephens, 21, is the co-defendant of James Keylan Willis, also of Dallas, who was sentenced to an automatic life prison term with no parole after his capital murder conviction last week in the death of 59-year-old Stanley Wilcox.
