LUNENBURG ― A man faces multiple charges of assault after allegedly hurling rocks and racist comments at a boater and his child who had been fishing off a lake on Memorial Day. David Mcpartlan, of Ayer, faces two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault to intimidate. Police say that Mcpartlan was on a lakeside property at 45 Shirley St. at around 4:45 p.m. on Monday, May 26, when he threw rocks at the boater and his child.
