Home buyers in Colorado have more choices and still have time to shop around as the housing market in Colorado remains balanced, according to experts. "The Colorado Housing Market is characterized by more inventory this year compared to last year," Cooper Thayer, a market spokesperson and a Realtor with the Colorado Association of Realtors, explained. DENVER (KOAA) — A bill that took up hours of debate in the Colorado legislature in its final week passed late Tuesday night. HB25-1312, "Legal Protections for Transgender Individuals," is also known as the Kelly Loving Act. Kelly Loving was a transgender woman who was killed in the Colorado Springs Club Q shooting in November 2022. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle recognize Loving as a hero.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KOAA) — With the 2nd season underway at the Ford Amphitheater, the public can expect some more additions at the concert venue later this year. One of those additions is a restaurant that will be open year-round and will be part of the amphitheater. Roth's Seafood & Chop House was originally scheduled to open this spring, but that has been pushed back to fall. So even when concerts aren't going on, the restaurant will be open.
People keep falling for scams, FBI reports more than $240 million lost in Colorado last year

DENVER (KOAA) — Despite the constant warnings from law enforcement and highlighting red flags, scammers are only getting better at stealing money, according to a new report from the FBI. This week, the FBI Denver office shared new data from 2024 showing scammers took $243,517,403 from Colorado victims in 2024, citing the latest FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) report. That amount is $56 million more than 2023, according to the data.

At about 9:42 a.m., the following message was issued to people in the area of Vollmer Road:"The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has issued a SHELTER IN PLACE ORDER for 8700 Block Vollmer Rd due to LAW ENFORCEMENT ACTIVITY near 8725 Vollmer Rd.," part of the message issued on Peak Alerts reads. Pueblo officer shot leading to gun battle with a teen Monday morning

PUEBLO, Colo. (KOAA) — A Pueblo Police officer was injured Monday morning and a teen is in custody following a chase and gun battle. Pueblo Police say they received a report just after midnight for a shooting and assault near Northern and Abriendo Avenues. When police responded, they noticed a vehicle matching the description of the one involved in the area of 4th Street and Glendale Avenue.
