    Matty Matheson seems like a cool guy. He’s a longtime restauranteur who became a minor celebrity chef and then made it big when he was cast as Neil Fak in FX’s restaurant-set dramedy The Bear. Like a lot of characters on that show, Neil is loud, but turns out he can get even louder. He’s the vocalist of a new hardcore band called Pig Pen. On guitar and backing vocals in Pig Pen is Wade MacNeil, founding member of the 2000s screamo mainstays Alexisonfire.

    Last week news broke that Radiohead — who, as a group, have stayed mostly dormant over the past few years — created a new business entity, a limited liability partnership, called RHEUK25 LLP. Historically, a new LLP is a good sign that Radiohead are up to something, though it remains unannounced what that thing might be. One smart Stereogum commenter pointed out that the LLP’s name could be an acronym for “Radiohead Europe UK 25,” or shorthand for a 2025 EU/UK tour.

    Since 1992, the Polar Music Prize has bestowed honors unto those who’ve made a “pioneering musical legacy” for themselves. The Swedish award was founded by ABBA’s manager Stig Anderson, and recipients also get 1 million krona — the equivalent of about $93,000. Most years, the award goes to two recipients, one in popular music and another in classical.

    The Lollapalooza lineup is here, and its big-font names are pretty interesting. Topping the bill for the July 31-Aug. 3 festivities in Chicago’s Grant Park is Olivia Rodrigo, who — with a Glastonbury headliner slot in her pocket too — is almost certainly ramping up to LP3. Fellow ascendent cool-kid pop star Sabrina Carpenter, the presumed blonde girl from “drivers license,” is also among the headliners.
