James Mejia, the chief strategy officer at MSU Denver, said a new development project will bring both student housing and workforce housing to Auraria Campus as early as 2027. The project is split between two buildings slated to be built on the plot of land where the old campus ballfield used to be just northwest of the Tivoli Quad.

    Costs shot up for Auraria Campus transit commuters this semester. Starting in the fall 2024 semester, the cost of RTD’s CollegePass increased to $250 from $150. Summer months will now be charged separately for an additional cost instead of being included in the spring semester CollegePass payment.  CollegePass is a program offered by RTD where participating colleges and universities can provide students with a discounted transit pass that works for RTD’s buses and trains, including to the airport.

The Resolution to Enhance Mobility on Campus, authored by MSU Denver student government Councilor Michael Warner, passed unanimously from attending councilors. The resolution laid out the details and plan to implement the program.
