Selma City Schools honor three FBLA students Published 5:48 pm Wednesday, July 26, 2023 Selma City Schools gained national recognition behind three FBLA program scholars. Ciara Perkins, Braylon Williams, and Preston Williams were honored during Monday night’s Selma City Schools board meeting for placing fifth and sixth in the 2023 National Leadership Conference of Future Business Leaders of America. Perkins and Braylon Williams are R.B. Hudson Steam Academy students.

Selma High School Principal search ends at board meeting Published 5:50 pm Wednesday, July 26, 2023 The Selma School Board met for the final time before the 2023-24 school year began in what was a loaded agenda on Monday night. The board heard the FY 22 Audit Presentation to begin the meeting. After the reading of the audit, the school board learned no problems came from the audit.

Reginald Glover approved as new Selma High School Principal Published 8:39 pm Monday, July 24, 2023 During the Selma High School Board Meeting on Monday night the Board approved in a 3-2 vote to name Reginald Glover as the new Selma High School Principal for the upcoming school year. Glover earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Alabama State University.

ADPH advises on consumption of fish in Alabama during fishing season Published 7:04 am Monday, July 24, 2023 The Alabama Department of Public Health released a Fish Consumption Advisory recently in cooperation with the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and the Tennessee Vally Authority. Many Dallas County citizens are fishing with the sun being out and the lines getting bites.
