Teaching is a very challenging profession. Out-of-control student behavior, shoddy curricula, and spiraling nonacademic job responsibilities push many teachers to the brink. In response, the Louisiana Department of Education, led by State Superintendent Cade Brumley, has released a series of recommendations, called “Let Teachers Teach,” aimed at easing some of the burdens chasing good teachers out of the classroom.
