Not many athletes get their jersey retired and even fewer see it happen while their career is still going. “It’s surprising,” New Hope senior girls basketball player Kaylee Yarbrough said. “But, it’s great. I’ve worked so hard for this, so it’s great to finally accomplish what I’ve been working for.” Kaylee Yarbrough has not had a normal high school career. She joined the varsity team in 7th grade and made an immediate impact. “I was the only seventh-grader,” Yarbrough said.

Former Buckhorn basketball and football star Terrence Robinson has passed away. Robinson helped the Bucks win the 6A state basketball championship in 2023. Luke Burnett set a Gulf South Conference record in UAH's 79-52 win over West Alabama. With 405 career threes, he's now made the most in GSC history. Burnett now sets his sights on the NCAA Divsion II record of 451. The Chargers have 11 games left in the regular season. The Chargers have now won 16 games in a row.
